Saffire MIG/MAG Economiser

During normal MIG/MAG welding operations, a single-stage regulator is used to control gas pressure through a calibrated flow orifice to give the required flow rate for welding registered on a flow gauge or dry bobbin flowmeter. At the end of each welding cycle when the machine solenoid valve closes, pressure builds up between the valve and the regulator because although the solenoid valve is closed the regulator is still delivering gas. When the welding cycle is re-started this buildup of pressure is released as a surge and is largely wasted. The Saffire MIG Gas Economiser reduces to a minimum this surge thereby providing very important savings of expensive shielding gas whilst maintaining a good gas shroud.

Flowmeters

The Saffire 15 is a high precision flowmeter designed for use with the TIG process. The meter has the following special features.

The Saffire 40 is a heavy duty flowmeter designed for both TIG and MIG welding processes. The meter has the following features.

• Dual scale in litres/minute and cubic ft. per hour.
• 40 litres/minute flow
• Special adapter for angled outlet and dual flowmeter control.

CO2 Heater

Specifically designed for use with Carbon Dioxide this unit allows flows of up to 40cfh without the risk of freezing or noticeable changes in the flow or pressure.
