Description and applications

Saffire Manganese Bronze is a high tensile filler rod for bronze welding cast or malleable iron, and for building up worn surfaces. The rod is used extensively in maintenance shops and in motor car manufacture. It may also be used for TIG welding, using an argon shielding gas. The melting point of the rod is 895°C. The ends of the rods are colour coded red.
